The Conference

The Conference on World Affairs is a festival of ideas brought to you by the University of Colorado Boulder featuring 200 panels, 100 speakers and performers, over 5 days, attracting more than 70,000 in cumulative attendance each year. I had the opportunity to design the 2019 and 2020 program covers for the event.

The Inspiration: 2019

One of the Conference's most notable features is the lining of the walkway in front of the campus's main auditorium with flags of various countries around the world. At the start of CWA Week, it has become tradition for all speakers, performers, and volunteers walk through.

The Inspiration: 2020

Film critic Roger Ebert described the Conference on World Affairs as "the Conference on Everything Conceivable". My design for the 2020 program pays homage to this, incorporating just a few character types that every year's CWA week brings to campus.
